In retrospect, in keeping with matching the original prejudice I should've wrote E. as "Husband," not "Spouse" ...... this is what those weirdos be talking about when they whine about woke translators injecting their own politics (which is, in this case, a place where I failed -- by default I tried to think of a gender neutral way of translating "Marriage Partner," or 結婚相手, but in fitting with the prejudice of the time I should've.... yeah)
