Thank you for replying!! ^_^ I looked around at what I have accounts on, and the only things that have profile comments And allow you to share images in them are MyAnimeList and Anilist, so uh... I don't foresee being able to bring them back there xD (Okay, maybe MAL because of the age of the userbase, but for reasons I use Anilist now.) Crazy SpaceHey (a MySpace-like) doesn't allow it, but I get how it could be abused.
Do you remember what kinds of LJ posts they went under? Like, did you wait for someone to say "today's my birthday :D" and reply with a picture there, or could someone post literally anything and it'd be okay to add a greeting card as long as it's the right holiday? Or maybe they went in the replies of their sticky? I'm sure it varied, but I don't want to be mistaken. From exactly one post I've seen on DW, I think people might have made their own original posts saying "happy birthday to [whoever]!!," and there you could probably stick a graphic too.
I've seen it in scans too, but tbh I feel like said scans must be pretty old. It could be just the things I read, but these new scan groups present themselves as real professional.
