Akane-banashi #194: This almost feels a little like a rehash, since I want to say that Akane already learned about drawing in the audience and using the audience to her advantage? But maybe this is more like a level up of that from before-- I think the first time she learned this, it was about meeting the audience where they're at and giving them the kind of performance that they'll like and enjoy. This time, it's about harnessing the audience to enhance her story itself, in a live concert kind of way versus a recording kind of way. Like I guess the first time, it was about matching the audience's energy, but now it's about feeding the audience's energy and shaping it more? But that just sounds like stuff she's already been doing. But I guess I do kind of get what they're going for, having Akane really tap into the live aspect of her performance.

Alien Headbutt #2: Ah, okay, I see how this is going to go, hype pro wrestling fights but with the stakes being "real," against invading aliens. So far so good, no government agency coming in to make it boring! I think this can work for me, so I'll stick with it for now.

Hima-Ten! #78: The date was fun! Honestly it's hard to decide who I'm rooting for, Honoka or Himari. They're both great! What I really want is a throuple ending tbh, but that is never going to happen. I think I ought to write some fanfic for this fandom tbh, the throuple ship is not leaving me alone. I love the idea of Himari being the third added to Tenichi/Honoka, but I also like the idea of Himari and Honoka coming up with the idea together to both date Tenichi and then they go to him with their idea and it slowly goes from a V to a throuple.

Kagurabachi #112: Okay, phew, to be continued! End of part one! I'm so glad that the series isn't over, and I'm excited to see where it goes in part two! I hope that the mangaka gets to take a break for a while before continuing with part two, burnout is no joke and WSJ's pace is just so much for one person to handle. I like that Chihiro is returning to sword forging! I like that for him. I'm excited to see the sword that he makes!

Kinato's Magic #3: Hmm, it looks like this really is going to be about how Kinato uses his magic not to heal, but to defeat monsters. I guess I really should have seen this coming since it's a WSJ manga, but I got really excited at the first chapter with him being a healer! I wanted him to stay a healer... that would have been really cool imo, but it doesn't look like that's how this series is going to go. Oh well! I'm dropping it for now, but if I hear good things about it in the future I might pick it back up.

Hey hello!

I finally sent off my FTH book. Gut Ding will Weile haben and Was lange währt…and all that cal. (Life just threw quite a few curveballs at me mid to end year, including moving houses, so I didn't even print for a few months because I didn't want to move with loose papers and even more random materials.)
Do I have to sent a message to the FTH guys? It's been so long that I've looked at the Bazaar rules.

I also sent off three books for a friend and now I'm free! Freeeeeee! *throws-bra-away*

And with this whole Discord age verification, I've been looking more into the fediverse once again and discovered Hubzilla. Which is… interesting. And I might be moving a lot of things on there. You can have your oldschool Facebook-like social media wall, you can build a website, have some kind of forum, build and maintain wikis alone or with others. Rightswise you can get granular with custom roles. And your account can have various channels/profiles. You can follow and be followed by other fediverse places like Mastodon. Onboarding and getting a hang of things is not very intuitive and lotsa work, though.

But I'll me giving it a try for my bookbinding posts. And eventually, once I've bought a guillotine/bulk cutter (Seriously, these books I've sent on their way today taught me that should be my next big investment…), a new phone (still on iPhone 11 pro max and it's scratched and cracked and since the last update laggy AF…), I might buy a Raspberry Pi to finally self-host my own media stuff. (HubZilla + Cryptpad/Nextcloud, maybe Matrix for shits and giggles.) Moving your stuff from one Hubzilla instance to another apparently is easypeasy.

Today I was a bit shocked to know the death of the American actor Robert Duvall. He has been one of my favorite actors for many years since when I fell in love with Tom Hagen in "Godfather" on my teens. I can enjoy seeing his acting in many films any time still I feel sad about the news. Now I got older, most of the actors I like have passed away...
