Snowflake Challenge #15
Feb. 6th, 2026 03:23 pm
I liked having a reason to talk about the things I like prompted. I met some cool people, and even became mutuals with at least one, so that's great and the Snowflake Challenge wasn't a complete bust. All in all I think it went well for me! And I'm really glad this challenge has been held annually for so long.
This is a personal skill issue, but making such long posts so often made me feel annoying. (The length of the posts is a choice but I'm talkative when given the chance to be, so...) I might not participate next year, or I will only via commenting, but that doesn't mean I think it's bad.
One thing: I know it didn't do well in the polls, but I think having Grant a Wish as a challenge is a good idea and it should stay. People should not only ask for things, but give too. And I'm not just saying that out of greed, because I didn't have any of mine granted. SPEAKING OF, I didn't write about it but I did grant at least 3 wishes, so please include in the record that I completed Challenge #11 too ☝🏾
Thanks to the mods, volunteers, and my subscribers for sticking around! ❄️

Date: 2026-02-06 10:22 pm (UTC)It’s your blog, so it’s your prerogative to write three novels every day on there if you wanna! Dreamwidth ain’t exactly drowning in activity anyways, so people better be glad to have someone provide :,D
Your Kanata Kara post made me laugh so much, “NEVER KILL YOURSELF!!!!” is the most quotable thing I’ve read in a while shjdsljslj
And I need to watch that I Am Cuba movie you mentioned in the other other post, just when I was thinking that I need to dive into this subject!

Date: 2026-02-08 04:10 am (UTC)I Am Cuba is good, and then if you actually want to read up on socialism/communism there's this beginner's reading list I've had bookmarked for months but still haven't actually gone through 🫡

I was thinking too that I need to find some good books to read about Cuba, things such as movies can of course only do so much.
