Challenge #14: Promo/Rec List

3. If you're super bored, my response to challenge #9 ended up being a rec list of new canons to get into as well, in a way.

I had planned on doing this on From Far Away if I had my volumes on me by the time this challenge came around, but I still haven't gotten my book collection back. So it looks like I'm defending a ship. If you like Fire Emblem: Three Houses.... hiiiiiiiiii ♡ My name is Chris and I think FeliBern is great.

The reasons I ship this are..

• I chose to teach the Black Eagles because they looked more interesting to me than the Blue Lions at that time, but of course I needed the resident Navarre, so I kidnapped invited Felix to join my class.


• Please refer to the entry #3 in the earlier numbered list. It's free Defrosting Ice King.



• Blue and purple go together in a way I like more than blue and orange, which reminds me of nerf guns, which reminds of the terrorism I had to withstand as the eldest sibling.


• To me they are Gir Hoodie girl x Akatsuki Hoodie boy. IYKYK.


• The idea of her having to stop fujoing out because the guy she's realpersonshipping likes her is funny to me. suicide tw "23M bf found my 23F old R18+ doujin of him and his childhood friends  how should i go about killing myself"

The reasons you should ship this too are..

• Look, FeliAnn/Netteflix/Whatever is so popular and -- let's face it -- their support line is dumb. Annette sings silly songs so good he was like fuckkkkkkk I gotta tap that? Well Bernadetta can totally sing too, and she has music as one of her likes. I could have swore she can play an instrument too, but I can't remember where you learn that and I don't want to spent my whole evening chasing that bit of information down. But what I'm saying is: If singing (and being small and cute) is all it takes, Bernie can do all that and then some.


• If you like het, I think it's a ship very suitable for a romance manga. Hits a lot of those notes.



• ^Is cute.


• I think Felix would like someone not from Faerghus at all, someone disconnected from Faerghun thought and won't bring up old memories. Whether this is actually good for him or just running away is beside the point.


• Because you're handcuffed to a chair right now and the only way to get out is to start shipping it, sorry.

I'll be honest. It's not perfect. The issues I have with this ship are..

• The game does not respect Bernie at all, so I know she's annoying to many people, but during her moments of not-freaking-the-hell-out you can see she is a nice, thoughtful girl.


• Their Non-Azure Moon ending makes me feel bad because I think too much bureaucracy kills the Felix, and in that ending he ends up handling most of her house's affairs. Also Bernie becomes even more reclusive, and while I'm empathetic to the idea of a character staying in their house happily forever, I would rather not see her become more reclusive... Their AM ending, however, is pretty darn okay. It's no Dimilix or Sylvix ending, but it's okay.

• There's this artist who made soooooo much Felibern art and it was all so great, and they deleted it all and I'll never forgive them. I saved a bunch of it, but I can't really share it publicly here now can I? But I just wanted to say there's a second Felibern artist I like except they're not a Felibern artist anymore (;_\)


• Uhhhhh I drew this 3 years ago for a zine but never shared it on any of my own accounts, not even on my own website, so please take this and don't make fun of me. This style doesn't represent who I am anymore, on everything💯 Consider it a little treat for using Dreamwidth.

  

I will end this with a comic I think of every month and thought I lost in the sands of time forever, but refound after remembering Pinterest is stolen art central! Thanks for reading ^^ I doubt Felibern will become anyone's new #1 OTP, but it's something nice to consider. I think they are sillycute.
