I've watched the entire Pain terrorism arc, and am maybe halfway through... whatever it is I'm watching. Everyone finding out that Sasuke is losing his mind or something. In the last episode I saw "Madara" said he's starting a war, and Sakura said she has something to tell Naruto. The comments underneath the episode all said what she has to say is some bullshit though 💀💀 Probably like "no matter how awesome and cool and just generally better you are, I still like Sasuke more <3" like okay thanks Sakura, that's definitely something important right now. God I wish Kishimoto wrote better women.
500 years ago I first saw this GIF and thought it was funny (why did he do that??), and a few days ago I saw the real scene in context and laughed. He did the thing guys!! Why did he do that? And then a full 12 hours later I was looking at the GIF again laughing and wondering why he did that still, and then it hit me. He's losing his vision, isn't he? (I'm not very quick on the uptake, sorry LMAO) Pretty quickly, too. Itachi was in his 20s and could still see, however badly. This is great. Awesome, if you ask me! I wish I could see him suffer over it more, but it's Naruto's show, not his u_u <- This User Is Probably A Sadist Also it's funny that the thing he was drinking was probably not water, but, judging by the color of the taller bottle, sake. Bro......
And then all his teammates are like "Sasuke's changed..." Yea, cuz y'all let him turn to alcoholism! Take his damn drinkies away 😭😭
That "has Sasuke ever won a fight?" thing is really starting to hit now. I can't explain but that fight against the Raikage didn't make him look too good, and then when he fought in that room with all the other Kage, the way Madara carried him when he passed out was so.... -1000 aura loss 💀 If he doesn't win a fight soon he's gonna look real bad, but I know if someone made that damn tweet asking if he's ever won a fight that means that he probably won't win a fight. Ever. How is he going to get his sauce back??? (Sauceke? Saucelesske?) Well, I guess as long as he keeps on suffering he won't need sauce for me to like him.
I'm also still deciding if it was really okay to revive everyone killed in an arc????? I'm glad because I felt it was way too early for Kakashi to die, but like, ???? I really did like that arc though... Naruto is my boy fr
Besides Naruto: Panty and Stocking was really good this week; and by good, I mean the demon sisters are so so so so so so so so so so so hot. The transition from really cartoony to... whatever you'd call the art style in the boys' transformation was really good too. I need to find GIFs later for sakuga collection purposes.
I'm almost done with Order of Ecclesia. I'm at the Barlowe boss fight. The level design is ??? but the animation is cleannnn so I like it :3 I'm going to finish FFIVDS (man that's a lot of letters) next, but I don't know what to play after that. If you're reading this, please tell me if you think I should play
1. The Legend of Zelda - which would become the oldest game I've beaten, beating Phantasy Star by a year. (Zelda is '86 and Phantasy Star is '87. I beat the Sega Ages port/version/whatever but please pretend that counts.)
2. Chrono Trigger - which I have 10 hours in on Steam/PC, but I'm thinking I should start it over on my DS because I prefer console over PC. If you don't know, this is probably what's considered the best JRPG ever on this side of the planet, so yeah. Historical importance.
3. Suikoden - which is Suikoden, and I just feel it's gonna be good. Maybe more importantly, I have to play it to get to (by my own rules) Suikoden II, which has a really good score on Backloggd for reasons I don't understand... YET!
4. Sakura Wars - which I've heard might be bad/creepy and I should just skip to 2 or 3, but I'm addicted to playing things in release order, I'm so sorry.
OR
5. Haruka 2 - which has a rocky start that made me drop it, but if I want to get to Haruka 3 (whose reputation precedes itself, positively), I have to play 2. I should just get it over with.
I keep putting off Thracia, but I swear I have a very good reason for it. I keep changing emulators for one reason or another and losing my save. At this point I'd be at my fourth or fifth time restarting it, and I'm sick of seeing that damn first fog of war map... Starting to think that's definitely going to be a late-2026 game. I have a list of games I might play next year that won't be whittled down until this coming December. (You know, as people often do.) I might have to move games from the 2025 list on to that one if I don't finish them all, which is most likely going to be the case.

Date: 2025-08-22 02:28 am (UTC)yeahhhh the older 2D zelda games can be a little difficult when it comes to. dodging. i was particularly notorious for getting hit in alttp and zelda 2: the adventure of link (LOVE THAT GAME. NEVER PLAY IT IF YOU'RE NOT A FAN OF PAIN AND SUFFERING THOUGH). oot3D was my first zelda game, actually! a couple years back i was interested in getting into zelda games but i didn't know what was the best game to start with and i saw people waxing poetic about oot so....first game! my favorite zelda game of All Time is minish cap though (and i also dearly love the four swords games. and skyward sword. and wind waker. and spirit tracks. Too many games)
entirely fair about the manga vs. anime thing!!!! and honestly i can't really speak too badly about the anime because the soundtrack for it is just so incredibly good. like. flying light? my name? crimson flames? a couple others i could name but idk where exactly you're at in watching it right now and the song titles contain mild spoilers? PEAK anime ost right there. very few others compare imo. literally could listen to them for HOURSSSS
