My Endless Wit and Charisma Wins Again

elyusionSo last Tuesday I went to a place I applied to to woo them with my beautiful face. That's how I got my last job, I assume, so I figured it would be to my advantage if I tried it again. When it comes to jobs I'm comfortable working I'm kind of limited, and out of the jobs I applied to this place was by far my preferred choice, so I was just a little desperate to have them hire me.
On the way there was this guy at a stand selling (faux? p?)leather bracelets with spaces for snap buttons. He told us to check out his stuff when we circle back, and I really wanted to avoid him because I'm your typical antisocial zoomer, but his booth was riiight outside the store I was going to. So I had no choice but to check his wares when I left. In the end I ended up telling him that I'm broke and actually came her to check on an application... and he let me pick out a bracelet and 3 buttons for free. What the flip. So in that moment I actually became indebted to him and swore I'd buy something from him if I get the job. (This man, by the way, who wore a head band with a feather standing tall in the middle, said he loved that I wore my hair natural and told me to pray to the ancestors for help in getting the job, in case you need to vibe check him.)
Yesterday (the 29th, but that's still yesterday to me because I haven't gone to sleep yet) I went in to the same store for my interview! Aaaaaaaaaand I pretty much got the job on the spot! Yup, I'm goated. They were obviously charmed by my oddly vampiric fit and forced non-autistic demeanor. I start Wednesday :) So I had to go pay that man a visit and buy something from him. In case I got the job I already had a picture on hand of Felix in case things went well, so I asked the guy to make a button of him. He was all, "that's your man, ain't it? 😏" to which I could only meekly reply "a... little bit," because my feelings towards Felix Hugo Fraldarius cannot be explained succinctly to some stranger in a dead mall.
There's something wrong with him and he clearly liked me despite being around 40 or so (could be platonically!!!), because he threw in a pendant when I only asked for a button.
He also showed me around the store he ran in front of his booth/near my future place of work, and held up clothes he made to me and said I'd look good in such-and-such, and that he liked my smile/gap and it makes him want to put his finger in it (see, this is what makes me think he's just weird and unusual and brutally honest rather than a flirt, because normal people wouldn't say that when trying to bed someone), and that he liked my earrings (dangly black pentacles), and that he liked my hair again and this time he moved one of my twists down to my bangs (I had a ponytail with bangs, you see, but some of the twists I wanted in the ponytail weren't quite long enough... So I tucked them into other ones, but they definitely had fallen out and were just sitting awkwardly on my head.). See, when I type all this out I think he probably seems like a creep to other people, but when I'm interacting with people I only think about doing and saying whatever would make them happy soooo I didn't really think about anything he did or said besides "which dialogue option will help me avoid the bad ending?" And I have a funny story in this vein about my time at GameStop too.
In the end he asked me how much he should even charge me for this. Bro is clearly winging it. I wondered before how much he could possibly be making selling arts and crafts, but now I'm unsure if he even needs this money at all. I just be meeting anybody. Anyways, I'm glad to have a cringe Felix pendant 🥰 I need a pretty chain to put it on so I can semi-stylishly be obsessed with some asshole from Teacher/Student Fetish: The SRPG. I would like it on record that I never marry Byleth to anyone.
I also saw the biggest non-crow bird I've ever seen while walking the dog today lol
Clearly it's a hawk but I don't know what kind, since the Bird ID app suggested two birds with colors different from this one. I know their coats can change colors but yea.
